Hubbell Property Management Property has been the proud recipient of numerous awards recognizing their achievements in property management including Best Property Management Company by the Des Moines Business Record in 2007.Hubbell Property Management is actively involved in IREM, BOMA, Des Moines Community Alliance, Des Moines Skywalk Association, and holds memberships in thirteen local chambers of commerce.
Since its founding in 1856, Hubbell Realty Company has played important roles in both Des Moines’ business circles and the community at large. Its commitment to strengthening the community is part of its mission statement. This commitment is expressed through taking leadership roles in a number of local organizations and charitable giving to over five dozen local non-profit groups every year.
Hubbell Realty Company’s philanthropic efforts have touched many thousands of lives in its 152-year history. Its giving has driven human services, economic development, culture and beautification projects, and programs of all scales to make the world, and specifically central Iowa, a better place.
In just the last decade, 436 not-for-profits have been impacted by Hubbell’s support, with more than $1,200,000 in financial contributions granted. In 2007, 74 charitable organizations were granted gifts totaling $166,000. The company was honored in 2008 to receive the Corporate Philanthropist of the Year award from the Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
In 2006, Hubbell teamed up with ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to build a home for an Iowa family in need. Beginning September 9, 2009, the company will take on an even bigger project – constructing nine townhomes in nine days at the corner of 21st Street and Forest Avenue in Des Moines for Anawim Housing. The nine-plex will provide rental homes to families with household incomes below $13,000. The entire construction of the homes will be donated, from the trusses, drywall and paint down to the very last nail. Every Hubbell Property Management team member will participate in this monumental effort.Hubbell Realty Company is committed to giving more than financial support to local organizations. The company’s executives serve on many local charitable boards including Easter Seals Iowa, the American Heart Association, Variety – The Children’s Charity, and Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center. The company strongly encourages all of its associates to be involved with local organizations, and many do.
